Moving can be stressful! Refer to our Moving Checklist to make your move into one of our suites as smooth a transition as possible.
  1. Call Montlack Realty 4-6 weeks before your move to check our availability!
  2. Apply for one of our suites up to 4 weeks before your move.
  3. When your application is processed, visit our office to pick up your lease and welcome packet. If you are out of town, contact us for mailing information.
  4. Call us as soon as you know when you would like to receive your keys so you can set up a move-in appointment.
  5. If applicable, contact the Illuminating Company for electric service and Dominion East Ohio for gas service as soon as you know your move-in date.
  6. Contact a local phone, cable and/or internet provider to set-up service about a week before your move.
  7. Contact the post office as soon as you know your move date to put in a change of address. The post office takes some time to process these, so put it in asap!
  8. When you arrive for your move-in appointment, expect to spend about 15-30 minutes reviewing the suite and finishing paperwork if necessary. If you will not be on time for your appointment, please call us as soon as you know—on many days we have several other people moving in and a tight schedule, so the courtesy is appreciated by all!
  
Don’t forget to pack a kit of essentials to move in first: Toilet paper, food, bedding, alarm clock, hygiene supplies and a good book to relax at the end of the day.
