Montlack Realty, headquartered in Shaker Heights, Ohio, has been in the real estate
and
Cleveland apartment business since 1948. Our goal has always been to acquire,
renovate, and manage multi-family and commercial properties in the Greater
Clevelandmetropolitan area as long-term investors.
Through the years we have primarily purchased older, neglected and run-down
Cleveland apartments and rehabilitated them. Some of these award-winning
apartments in Northeast Ohio include the
Lakeview and
Esther’s Place ClevelandHeights apartments, the
Shaker Lakes and the
Morlee Shaker Heights apartments,
and
Cormere Place and the
Stuart House Cleveland apartments. All of these
properties are well located close to major institutions such as the
Cleveland Clinic,
University Hospitals,
University Circle,
Case Western Reserve University, and
downtown Cleveland. Our Cleveland apartments are extremely diverse in size and
amenities- from efficiencies to two-story four bedroom penthouses, some with central
air conditioning and elevators and others with refinished hardwood floors and balconies.
Additionally, our Northeast Ohio apartments offer a diverse community with many
residents coming from all over the world.
Montlack Realty currently employs a staff of 35, which includes a management team,
office support staff, maintenance crew, and on-site managers. In addition, we utilize
a close network of contractors. As a company, Montlack is committed to educating and
training our personnel. We have an on-staff attorney with an MBA, two Rental Agents
who are Licensed Real Estate Salesmen, a Licensed Real Estate Broker, and an Office
Manager with a BA degree in Office Administration.
Montlack Realty has extensive experience in the renovating, leasing, and managing of
market rate apartments built between 1917 and 1962. Our specific renovating
experience includes: (1) complete demolition of existing kitchens followed by the
rebuilding of ceilings and walls, the installation of new cabinetry, granite counters,
ceramic tile floors, new appliances and sinks; (2) complete electrical rewiring of
buildings and s uites; (3) total replumbing of buildings as a preventative maintenance
tool; (4) refinishing hardwood floors and installation of drywall prior to the appropriate
paint and/or wallcovering; and (5) entire site plan reconfiguration with new parking lots,
playgrounds, sprinklered landscaping, new entryways, roofs, and gazebo.
Finally, Montlack Realty upholds a long-term commitment to each of its properties. As
our past record indicates, we are not syndicators or short term investors. Thus, we
constantly improve our apartments in Northeast Ohio to increase their value over time;
